IDEA Empowerment, LLC

Tuberous Sclerosis changed my family's life.  On may 11, 1995, my husband David and I welcomed our son, Ethan. Only fifty one weeks later, we would learn that he has a neurological disease called tuberous sclerosis. Instantly, David and I became his advocates. Ignoring physician's prognosis, we focused on providing our son with every opportunity to reach his maximum potential.  He has surprised countless specialists whose offices we waited in seeking information and hope during those first few months after the diagnosis.

Statewide Advocate

I am compelled to advocate for individuals with disabilities of all ages, yet I perfer to specialize in the Special Education area.  I have been appointed by Gov. Keating and Henry to the Oklahoma Developmental Disability Council (ODDC) as a board member.  My term expires in les than two years. At that time, I will seek out another state agency to volunteer my time and expertiese..
